    Notice at Collection for California Residents

    This California Privacy Rights Notice (“Notice”) supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents. This Notice describes how Early June Ventures, dba Skrutinize (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes the personal information of California residents, and the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), collectively referred to as the “California Privacy Law.”

    This Notice is effective as of January 1, 2023 (CPRA compliance).

    6.1 Do We Sell Personal Information?

    Traditional sale: We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

    CPRA “Sharing”: Sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted ads) may be considered “sharing” and you have the right to opt out.

    7. Your California Privacy Rights

    7.1 Right to Know

    You may request disclosure of:

    • Whether PI is sold/shared and related categories

    You may request information for the preceding 12 months and may make a verifiable request twice in a 12-month period.

    7.2 Right to Delete

    You may request deletion subject to exceptions (e.g., completing transactions, security, debugging, legal compliance, aligned internal uses).

    Important: Deleting an account may not remove all public reviews; attribution may be removed upon request.

    7.3 Right to Correct

    You may request correction of inaccurate PI. You can update most information in account settings or email us.

    7.4 Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing

    You can opt out via:

    • “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in footer
    • Email request (“Opt-Out Request”)
    • Cookie settings (block advertising cookies)
    • Browser signals: Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) (honored)

    7.5 Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI

    You may limit our use of Sensitive PI to what is necessary for service delivery, security, quality checks, and legal compliance. We already follow this practice.

    7.6 Right to Non-Discrimination

    We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide lower quality service for exercising rights.

    7.7 Authorized Agents

    Authorized agents may submit requests with written authorization and proof. We may require you to verify identity directly.

    We verify identity depending on whether you have an account and the sensitivity of the request. Deletion requests may require higher verification.

    8.3 Response Timeframes

    • Acknowledgment: within 10 business days
    • Final response: within 45 days (extendable to 90 days with notice)

    8.4 Request Denials

    If denied, we will explain the legal basis. You may appeal and may complain to the California Attorney General.

    8.5 Fees

    First two requests in 12 months are free. Excessive or manifestly unfounded requests may be charged or refused as permitted by law.

    9. Minors’ Privacy

    • Services are not intended for individuals under 18
    • We do not knowingly collect PI from minors under 18
    • We do not sell/share PI of minors under 16

    10.2 Deletion Process

    After retention periods, data is securely deleted or anonymized, removed from active systems, and backups are overwritten/deleted on a rolling basis.

    11. California “Shine the Light” Law (Civil Code § 1798.83)

    11.1 Annual Disclosure Right

    California residents may request information about disclosure of PI to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

    11.2 Our Practice

    We do not disclose PI to third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.

    11.3 How to Request

    12. Financial Incentives

    We currently do not offer financial incentive programs for personal information. If implemented, we will provide terms, explain valuation, and obtain opt-in consent.

    13. Data Security

    We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures including encryption, access controls, audits, and incident response planning.

    For breach notices affecting California residents, we comply with California Civil Code § 1798.82.

    14. Third-Party Links and Services

    We are not responsible for privacy practices of third-party websites and services. Our Services may use third-party tools such as analytics providers, payment processors, advertising networks, and social platforms.

    15. Accessibility

    Accessible formats are available upon request (screen reader compatible, large print, alternative formats).
